
VO₂ Training
If you've been running and training as a Bimbo Global Runner for some time to improve your times, it's time to take it to the next level. And one of the most effective ways to do this is by training your VO₂ max, which is your maximum capacity to use oxygen during exercise.
This type of training not only improves your cardiovascular performance, it also helps you run faster, longer, and with less effort. In other words, you'll enjoy each kilometer more and share it better.
How can you train for it?
Incorporate short, intense interval sessions (for example, run 3 minutes hard + 3 minutes easy, several times). You can also add hills, fartlek, or speed circuits.
Remember that it's not about doing more, but about training better. Give your body the necessary stimulus, followed by good recovery, hydration, and rest.
But most importantly, listen to your body, take care of your technique, and keep your motivation high. Each training session will bring you closer to that goal to share on September 28 at the Bimbo Global Race 2025.
